== Abstract ==

This project investigates thermal drift compensation in a thermally tunable microring resonator (MRR) using DC negative feedback. The MRR transmission response was calibrated, and a thermoelectric cooler (TEC) was used to introduce a thermal disturbance. The photodetector DC output provided feedback to adjust the heater voltage and regulate the optical intensity, while the AC output was used to reconstruct transmitted gesture images. Evaluation of 3,000 images across ten gesture classes gave class-wise reconstruction errors of 2.35%–4.19%. More stable feedback generally corresponded to lower image error, while operation near the resonance valley showed larger fluctuations. These results demonstrate thermal drift compensation with simultaneous image transmission and highlight the importance of operating-point selection.
